The Name DutchPot
A DutchPot is just that, a pot, that’s large and handmade typically by Rastafarian craftsmen and pottery artisans. It’s renowned for its ability to cook almost anything in almost any style and have it come out great. Traditionally Jamaican and distinctively Caribbean, the DutchPot, is used to cook foods ranging from street side fare, Sunday dinners to gourmet wonders. It’s such a part of our culture that every household in Jamaica tends to have one, whether they live at home or overseas.
